Stand still but hold down the B button till you hop. There is an exception when it comes to using the Repel items, if the wild pokemon in the area you are in are higher leveled then the pokemon that is first in your party then they will still appear. This also happens when your pokemon is holding Cleanse Tag so to avoid encounters you will need to make sure your first pokemon in your party is above the levels of the wild pokemon in that area.

first go through the cave between jubilife and oreburgh to get the hm then beat the oreburgh gym to allow you to use it out of battle then teach it to your Pokemon (a hm can be used mor than once).

Yes but it's still the same encounter rate; trust me, I know this, I'm a shiny hunter. And also, did you know that by trading in game with a non-player character then you have a chance of receiving that Pokemon shiny? Unfortunately, you only have one chance because after the trade, the game saves.

It's a matter of luck seeing it. My way is to buy heaps of repels and go to lilycove's gates and use repel and run around in the grass until it appears. (Legendarys are not affected by repels) If your repel stops and it still hasn't appeared go in a building and then go back out to the grass and use repel and run around until it appears. Repeat until you catch it!
