I am a very protective parent, and I let my eight year old play The Sims 3 generations. The sims 3 generations is your best bet for child appropriateness because you can have a child character and avoid all of the sexual things that would not be appropriate. Another okay one is the regular older version of the pc sims because your character can choose to adopt a baby instead of doing the 'wild thing'. If you go over the stuff they're not allowed to do then you should be fine.

no, the sims 3 and the sims medieval are completely separate games :)
Yes you do, you need it to play on any of the sims 2 PC games
There are a number of websites offering free Sims 3 games to play online. Puff Games and The Sims 3 are two websites where a person may play these fun games for free.
I dono if you can get more mature than The Sims to be honest! But there is a site that lists all the games like The Sims and directs you to where you need to be to play them. All of them are free to play. I will post the link! Hope this helps.
Yes. All the Sims games don't require internet, unless you are downloading stuff off 'The Sims 3' website, which you can't do with 'Sims Medieval'. Sims Medieval is NOT an expansion pack to 'The Sims 3' so you can't really play ONLINE / OFFLINE Thanks :)
