yes if you KO maybe lets say articuno you KO it and you wanted to catch it you still can just defeat the elite 4 again

red is supposed to be ash from the anime as blue is Gary and i think you can beat him again after you beat the elite four after you beat him like if you ko a roaming legendary haha that's true red is ash and blue is Gary. at first when i talked to red and battled him when he through out pikachu i started thinking is this ash haha and it is. to be real its actually ash is surposed to be red because the Pokemon game on gameboy was out before the television series were but they changed the name from red to ash.
