I did this the other day. My cart had 200 pounds of rock salt in it and I thought I was at the lower part of the sidewalk. I was wrong and , it flipped over into a car. Not a big scratch. The couple told me it was a rental and paid for the insurance through Enterprise.
I gave them my information because I would want someone to do the same for me, even though people always don't do the right thing.
If a cart is left in the parking lot and not returned to the designated area or the store, chances are, the idiot who left it won't be found since he/she was too lazy to return it in the first place. The epitome of laziness, in my opinion.
I am waiting to hear from the couple or Enterprise since this just happened Saturday.
