how do you get the bolt back in a remengton 592
Well, isn't that a happy little question! You can find parts for your 5mm Remington 592m bolt action rifle at your local gun shop or online retailers that specialize in gun parts. Just remember, it's all about enjoying the process of fixing up your rifle and bringing it back to its full potential. Happy hunting for those parts, my friend!
Lift the bolt handle, pull the bolt to the rear until it stops, push forward on the safety lever and out it comes. Whan putting it back in make sure the bolt remains cocked and aligned properly so it slides in easily. Firing pin at 12:00 and so forth.
There is a button at the beginning of the breach that you pusy in and the bolt will pull straight back out of the breach.
depress the small square button in front of the trigger when bolt is pulled all th way back
Please tell me how to install the bolt in a Remington Model 512
If you look at the very back of the receiver on the left side there will be a small tip of the bolt stop showing in the left bolt guide channel, push it down while the bolt is open and pull back on the bolt. Should fall out .
The ejector located inside the left side of the receiver is drug reward by a leaf spring on the bolt on this rifle. The ejector has a shoe on the forward end which is part of the chamber and assists the extractor in removing the cartridge from the chamber. About halfway to the open position a coil spring located in a slot on the left side of the receiver under the thin metal cover overcomes the bolt spring pressure and pops the ejector loose and returns it to its forward home position. As the bolt continues rearward a lip on the back end of the ejector contacts the cartridge case rim and kicks it out when the bolt is fully rearward.
Hey, you can try pulling back on the trigger while removing the bolt to the rear. Do the same to reinstall the bolt back in the barrel assy. I have a 514 and that's how it is done. Hope this helps . . . John <john.gro@gmail.com>
Actuate the bolt to the rear and there is a tang in front of the trigger that hangs down..Press up on this tang and pull the bolt back and it will remove it from the action.
Pull the trigger all the way back and then slide the bolt right in. You probably already know to check to make sure it is unloaded but you can never be to sorry.
Lift the bolt, pull it back, and then depress the trigger (just don't make it too "sad" ! ) while pulling it out of the rifle.
