When you use 'The shallow grave' can you flip the monster you summoned with it in the same turn?

um, yeah... all monster can be normal summoned, flip summoned, special summoned etc unless specified otherwise. eg, ancient gear golem says "this card cannot be special summoned".

The short answer is no. The long answer is: When your face-down defense position card is attacked, only then does it go to face-up defense position. All other times, when you flip it yourself, it goes into face-up attack position.

King Tiger Wanghu only cares about a monster's ATK when it is Normal or Special Summoned. A monster with weaker stats can be Set, and will be safe when flipped, or flip summoned. It is only if the monster is Normal or Special Summoned with a low enough ATK that Wanghu will trigger and destroy it.
Does a flip effect active if the card was removed from play?
No. Flip Effects only activate when the card is flipped, which will happen when Flip Summoned, or when the monster is attacked, or when an effect specifically directs it to be turned face up. Simply destroying a face-down monster, or removing it from play, does not 'flip' it, so Flip Effects will not activate.
