Remember if you want to catch Suicune, save first and then battle. If you get him to faint, you can't battle him again but you can catch it with a great or ultra ball.

(NOTE: The Following Information is for Pokemon HeartGold) The first time U come across Suicune wil be at Ecruteak City at the Burned Tower, then at Cianwood City, and you'll even run into Suicune on rout 42.
