∙ 11y agoThresh stops Clove killing Katniss. He takes Clove by surprise and grabs her from behind, then smashes her head with a rock, thus killing her. Katniss is ready for him to kill her too, but he spares her because she sung to Rue when she was dying.

∙ 11y agoWhen the male tribute from District 11, Thresh, hears Clove say that she killed Rue, the girl from District 11 and Katniss's ally, he was so enraged that, in the book, he crushed her skull with a rock. In the film, he banged her head against the Cornucopia until her neck snapped

∙ 9y agoKatniss attends the feast to get medicine for Peeta. She is attacked by Clove. Thresh saves Katniss by attacking Clove and bludgeoning her to death. Thresh says he saved Katniss because she helped Rue, and killed Clove because she was one of the tributes who killed Rue.

In the movie, Katniss goes while Peeta is sleeping. She did not give him any sleeping syrup. He fell asleep naturally, and she left to go to the feast.
