Having this model at one time - the difference is - the 2 + 2 is a coupe with (2) additional seats in back - not small seats but rather bucket seat style -roomy (especially leg room). Both cars , the 280zx and 280zx 2+2 look almost identical - BUT the 2+2 is roughly 8 inches longer in length as well as the same for wheel base) .. nearly 2 inches more in overall width and over an inch in overall height. Doesn't seem like much but it really makes the whole interior feel and seem roomier. The seats fold down to get full hatch back coupe look.
Originally there were a 100 seats for passengers but Air France dropped to 92 because of weigh consideration's. Plus three more for the pilots and flight engineer.
