It's a problematic system. The only way to disarm the factory alarm is to unlock the doors. There is no "easy" fix on they're system.

If you set the alarm (i.e. lock the car) and then disconnect the battery, the alarm will go off. If you disconnect the battery when the alarm is not set (i.e. when the car is unlocked) the alarm will not go off. (So don't try to nick a locked one).

You have a 94 park ave and the alarm will go off at the turn of the wind or as soon as you walk away which ever happens first every time it gets turned on how can you fix it?
I have the same problem with my 96 park ave. The alarm arms it self when you push the power lock button . You can disarm it by putting your key in the driver door and unlock it then lock it again you should see the security light go out right away. Then the alarm won't go off randomly and bug your neighbours ..

A car alarm can go off with no one even near it. A bad earthing point or voltage change can make it go off. The sensor on the alarm itself may be too high which will cause it to go off with the lightest of touch.
