∙ 8y agoBrown discharge is spotting, it is small amounts of blood leaving your body but because they're taking time to leave the body it goes brown. This is normal towards the end of your period.

The brown stuff may be your period. Brown or pink discharge is commonly refered to as 'spotting' it is when small amounts of blood mix with your normal vaginal discharge - spotting is often a result of hormonal changes in your body so it may occur as your body is getting ready to start menstruating over the next few months. Spotting can also be the start of your period; your period is when uterus lining sheds, it doesn't all come out in one go so it starts off very light like this and usually ends as spotting like this too. The only way to tell if this is your period or not is to see whether it continues over the next 3-7 days - if it is your period it is likely to get at least a little heavier, if not change from brown discharge to full bleeding. Either way if this is the first time you're seeing something like this let your mom or guardian know that it may be your first period. When you experience spotting like this it's a good idea to put on a liner or a pad, you can also use menstrual cups or softcups, but do not ever use tampons with spotting as there's not enough blood to use tampons safely. Also change your underwear, before putting into the laundry rinse out with cold water and also if stained soak in water with hydrogen peroxide in - your mom or guardian can help you with this.
Women should have their period every 24-28 days.
Ovulation happens before your period. Your period signifies that during ovulation the egg had not been fertilized. The timing is different for all girls and can be very complex to calculate but according to the American Pregnancy Association ovulation typically occurs 11-21 days since the last menstrual period, or 12-16 days from when you expect the next menstrual period to start.
It is not unusual for menstrual blood to be brown, especially at the beginning or end of menstruation. This is because menstrual fluid contains tissue and other substances besides blood.
I don't know about the light pink bleeding but the cramps is normal so is the blood getting brown towards the end. That just means the blood has been in your body longer.
No, not at all. Go see a doctor. Ice cream has nothing to do with it, you idiot, you probably have an intestinal bleed or an infection of the uterus.
It is just new blood, you get the dark blood often? Which is the older blood. But yes, it is just new fresh blood, you know when you get a cut on you knee is somewhere? You then get a scab and it's just as it se scab has come of and then you get the fresh blood. I hope this helped.
No you are not pregnant. I have had that to happen to me to. An I was not pregnant.
You could just be shedding older blood. If you are actually bleeding then you might have been pregnant, if it just a brown discharge, it's most likely old blood that hadn't shed before. It can also be some cells from the lining of the uterus. or if you've had sex your cervix may have been lacerated (or other parts of your vagina for that matter). If it only happens one month, i wouldn't be concerned. But if it continues definitely see your gyn asap. You could just be shedding older blood. Sometimes a woman's period is irregular. They could have their period one month, skip the next, then get it again. This happens more when women are just getting their period (more in teenage years)
There isn't a 100% way to tell. Wait and see if you miss your next period, if so take another home test. Or, if you do not wish to wait till your next period. Go talk to your doctor and ask for him to preform a blood pregnancy test.
It's not uncommon to get symptoms like light bleeding or a heavy feeling during the time that you would normally start your period, but that happens because your hormones aren't at the level to tell your body to stop losing blood.
