Cannabis actually has all three traits. At different points of the trip it is a stimulant then a depressant. Through the whole experience it is a psychedelic (or hallucinogen but that is an inaccurate/misleading term)

It isn't. According to the DEA cannabis is classified separately from depressants and stimulants, most likely because the effects of cannabis fit in to both categories.

I am pretty sure that Valium is a depressant.
Marijuana or cannabis affects the cerebral cortex through impairment of short-term and working memory, psychomotor coordination, and concentration. It is more of a hallucinogenic substance than a stimulant or a depressant.
