There could be many reasons. He could simply be having difficulty in understanding you. He may be too immature for a relationship and therefore not understand the need for support and encouragement; especially in the case of a woman. Women need more support than men, as they are more emotional. Men have a much more rational mind, and so it may be more difficult for a male to understand your needs. This is especially the case if he is young, had an inadequate relationship with his mother, or is new to relationships. Try to be understanding if this the case. Give him the support that you are begging to receive.
Unfortunately, it may be the case that he simply does not want to follow through with a relationship with you. Some people are simply not compatible. Only you and him can decide and understand this. I don't know your boyfriend, or you....so I can't make this decision for you.

Because he doesn't want to work at discovering a new part of a relationship. It sounds too much like you are complaining, unfortunately, which you are not. You are merely trying to expand. Try offering up something new without the discouragement and see if he is willing to go for it.
