Every tattoo artist tells you something different... but I kept it wrapped for the first 5 hours.... let it air out.... then for the next 5 nights... wrap it in plastic wrap & ointment... make sure your new tattoo doesnt dry out.

It Means New Life
It is indeed possible to cover up a tattoo, but any tattoo that you will get will have to be significantly darker than the one that you have now to effectively cover it. Consult with your local tattoo artist, see if they are good at cover ups (not all artists are), and he or she will design something for you that will cover it and will be complimentary as well.

I would stay out of the sauna for a full three weeks, when we tell folks how to take care of their new tattoos we always say stay out of pools and streams or lakes until they are healed....But we seem to overlook the saunas. Hope this helps

at least 2 months, the longer the better.
Chlorine can cause fading of tattoo colors, especially if the tattoo is fresh and not healed completely. It is best to avoid exposing a new tattoo to chlorine to prevent any potential damage. It's recommended to wait until the tattoo is fully healed before swimming in chlorinated water.
AT A TATTOO SHOP
Definitely. The reason you're not supposed to take a bath while a tattoo is healing is because it soaks the scab and early on can cause more ink to seep out. If your still peeling, try not to soak the whole time, but other than that your tattoo is basically healed.
