Need to know which jurisdiction you live in. If you're in the US, you probably don't have any requirement to register it - if it was a Title II NFA firearm which does require registration, all of that would've been done as part of the purchasing process.
No if the gun is not registered in your name , no you can not own a gun. if you do not have license to own a gun you can not have it either
Well yes you should because it is registered in his name.
GO TO THE POLICE NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Commit a gun related felony...
Go to where you registered them.
Colorado does not have registration of ordeinary firearms, so there is no way to have a gun registered to you.
The police will come and question you if you have not previously reported to them that the gun has been stolen or that you have sold it (and asked them to alter the registration of ownership). You may be arrested if they are not satisfied with your answers. You will be a suspect for the crime. Why own a gun in the first place!.
There is no such thing as a registered gun within the state of TN. Class III items are registered, but that is a federal thing. You can, however, pawn any gun in TN that you legally own.
I would call the police and have them come out and make him return the gun to you. If it is in your name he has no rights to it. I am questioning why he didn't want the gun registered in his name??? Red flag to me.
Go to the police.
Gun owners aren't "registered" like cars. One estimate is that there are @ 4 million or so gun owners.
Yes
