∙ 13y agoThe reason they tell you not to smoke while taking the pill is because it greatly increases your chances of having a stroke, especially if you are over 35.
So: don't smoke; it's nasty, smells bad and looks like you are disrespecting yourself. Sure, it looks sexy, too; but sexy in a way that says you are trouble, and that folks should stay away.
(I should know; I smoked a pack a day for 12 years.)
If you're under 35, you shouldn't freak out if you're smoking, and certainly don't stop taking the pill because of it.
Quitting smoking ROCKS, though. Take up perfume, hot tea and dancing instead.
