There is no reason to think that the percentage of gays is any different in China. There is some evidence that people will engage in "situational" homosexual behaviour if they are mixing only with the same sex. This accounts for some cases of homosexual behaviour in prisons and boarding schools. However when these people rejoin the wider society they usually revert to their original sexual orientation.
It may turn out that some Chinese men will turn to homosexual behaviour if the number of females in China stays low or gets smaller.
