After you obtain the National Dex, fly to Veilstone City and head south to route 214. About halfway down you will notice a new path off to the east called Spring Path. When you have made it through Spring Path you will be in Sendoff Spring, home to wild Pokemon found in the Sinnoh region at around level 53-54. Note: to make it any further you will need rock climb, rock smash, and also Defog. In the North-east of Sendoff Spring, you should see an area you can use rock climb to get up, do so. When you get to the top you will see a lake and a lookout point-type thing. Ignore them both and head around the back (going around to the right avoids much more grass than going left does). From here you will see another area to rock climb down with a cave entrance at the bottom. This cave is Turnback Cave.

From here you will need to use Defog to see anything. You will see a small mound that you with writing on it. All this writing says is that you need to see three pillars within thirty rooms to have a chance at battling a level 70 Giratina.

This is where things get difficult. The rocks you see on the ground after entering one of the four possible rooms apparently tell you which door in that room you have to go through, but I personally cannot figure them out.

My preferred route is to just go straight ahead. I usually make it to Giratina in approximately 8 rooms, but I have heard of people making it through in just 3. Remember this when wandering through the cave: you only have thirty rooms to get there, if you don't make it the thirty-first room will be back at the start of the cave; also, I'd advise you to not go back through any doors, as this will also take you back to the beginning.

When you make it through the cave you will see the legendary (and very awesome) Giratina. It is a Ghost/Dragon type who is weak against Ice and Dark types, as well as both of it's own. It is resistant to Normal, Fighting, Poison, Bug, Grass, Fire and Water.

I find Palkia to be the most effective, especially if it's around level 66 and knows avalanche. Also make sure you have about 3 quick balls (I think that's what they're called, the ones that work best at the beginning of a battle) and at least 20 each of timer balls, dusk balls and ultra balls. trust me on those numbers, I used all my quick balls, all my ultra balls, about 5 of my timer balls (only because I don't like them much) and finally caught it on my tenth Dusk ball, and that was with Giratina on about 10 HP left. It is one of the tougher Legendaries I've caught in the game, and not including event Pokemon (Manaphy and Arceus for example) I have two to go.

Also...There are a confusing 21 rooms in Turnback Cave, but after you capture Giratina, keep going back to its room. If it takes you three rooms or less to get there again, you will find a Reaper Cloth. If it takes you between four and fifteen rooms, expect a Rare Bone. Sixteen rooms or more and there will be a Stardust waiting for you. get the national dex if you cant see dialaga go to celestic town go in the wide house and talk to the old lady and show it to rowan and go to valor lakefront and there is a way called spring path climb up the wall and go to the middle of deep grass and ther is a rock climb wall and go down in the caveTurnback cave is where legendary Pokemon garitina is caught.

It is at spring path witch is only avalible if you have the National dex
