it depends If u win or lose in soul wars. If you win, you get a ton of xp. If you lose , you dont. Plus soul wars takes 20 minutes to complete. Pest control can be over in 5-7 minutes so u can get 3-4 points which is better xp then soul wars. Also, pest control gets you more xp when fighting. No. A pokemon only has the xp boost when training with a trainer who didn't catch them. ie. On platinum, if you caught the pokemon it does not get xp boost. When you trade it over to silver, the silver trainer did not catch it so it gets xp boost. but when traded back to platinum, it is back with the trainer who caught it and therefore does not get xp boost.
