The Pokemon that was the most hardest to find in platinum (with my theory) was palkia and dialga (there in the same place together when found)
Also it is hard to catch mespirit considering its on the loose and changes place everytime. If you beat the game completely then you might want to go talk to professor oak who is in eterna city on a visit and he will tell you about the 3 ledgendary birds which will go on your map (like mespirt) and you can then catch them. (zapdos , articuno , and moltres) they are not easy to catch so good luck!
