Well Misdreavus actually evolves into Mismagius if you use the Dusk Stone. But I faced Mismagius in Pokemon Platinum which is one of the Pokemon the Hearthome gym leader has. She was very strong and a tough Pokemon to kill. I used a Gengar to kill her. Misdreavus is good too but since Mismagius I think is a lot stronger she would probably be better. But it all depends on whether or not you have the Dusk Stone.
