Only in Emerald Version do you have to search for Kyogre. In Sapphire, you just go to the Cave of Origin to battle Kyogre.

I think sapphire is better and the biggest difference are the Pokemon you can catch, e.g. In sapphire the legendary is Kyogre where as in Ruby it is GroudonAnswerThere are little differences in the games except which Pokemon to get. Ruby: Groudon Sapphire: Kyogre and some like sap.: lotad ruby:shroomish (I think) and one last thing which headband you want ruby: red headband sap.: blue and same with the tents ruby: red tent sapphire: blue tent (tents are used to decorate your secret base) you can find the tents in the trick masters house after you beat the last challenge. there is 10 in all (I think) after that he will leave and will not come back if you find some way to bring him back please tell me. you have to go to sootopolis city and then you go up to the cave that the old guy was blockoing and would not let u go in... he will let u in since u have blue orb and then u have to find ur way through the cave (not hard at all) and then u battle kyogre and then use ultra ball or master ball to catch him and bam, u got kyogre (do not kill kyogre as u can not face him or get him again) :) to catch kyogre in Pokemon Sapphire you must get into the cave on the 8th gymleaders island i don't remember how to though you should be able to figure out

to get the regis you must beat the Elite Four and champion and have a relicanth and wailord at the bottom of your team. you also need surf (HM) dive (HM) dig (TM) and a fire Pokemon water Pokemon and a Pokemon good against steel. to catch kyogre you need a grass Pokemon but don't kill it get it to red then throw utraballs like crazy!
