After the 5th gym, you go to the 6th gym. To get there, you need to get TM Surf from Wally's parents (at their house in Petalburg). Once you do, go to Mauville City. You can Surf to the right, and there are about three Routes in a row, plus the rock cave where you can catch Registeel (later in the game). Continue along the routes, and you'll to Fortree City, home of Flying Type Gym Leader Winona. She has a Skarmory, Alteria, Swellow, AND Peliper. After that, go south (actually,you need to go south anyway before you can go in the Fortree Gym. You find Steven on a Bridge and he gives you an item that allows you to see invisible Pokémon. The path is clear from there, just keep going until you reach Lilycove City. There are a few errands at a place called MT Pyre, a ghost type mountain place just before Lilycove, you must save the world from Kyogre at Sootopolis City, but other than that the way is easy (ok, there is more to it than that, but this will help you once you beat Petalburg Gym). Hint: If you are looking for a good Water type, get the GoodRod from the first Fisherman you see once you cross the lake that separates Mauville from Fortree. CareyPrice31FTW
