Note: if you got it from a garage sale, it might not have the booklet; sorry!
Hope this helps!
Look at the top of the back of the pamphlet included in your Sims 2 box.
It's on the back of your game guide. There is no legal way to acquire a code without buying the game.
Your Sims 3 registration code is located on the back of the instructions manual, and will be a selection of letters and numbers.
If you ordered this from the EAStore.com website, you should be able to contact them about the code needed - If you got it from Direct2Drive or some other site you will have to contact them. See related links:
Its a different registration code for everyone - so you cant have someone elses code if they have installed it.
What do I do if I lost the manual to my Sims 3 game and I need to get the registration code.

You probably downloaded the game illegally and the registration code won't work the only way to register sims 2 is to buy it from a store
Bon Voyage is a PC game not a PS2 game

The registration code should be on the back of the booklet included with the game. Good luck with code-hunting! :) Edit: You should not ask for a code, as if you do not have a code, it means you did not obtain Sims 2 University legally. Also, do not post your own code: it is meant only for the person who bought it, to prevent unauthorised copying/downloading of the Sims 2. Although the above is true, I know some people that legally bought the game. The only problem was that they lost the booklet or there parents threw it away thinking it was trash. They legally have the game, but can't play it because the code is lost...
That would be illegal. If you want the code, you'd have to buy it.
The registration code is on the very top of the back page in the instruction booklet that came in your game case and it looks like XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX. Make sure you enter it correctly.
