Accessories found in Pokemon Diamond are used for dressing up your pokemon in contests. These contests can be found in the Contest hall in Hearthome City. Accessories can usually be found in the nearby park, the entrance is on either side of the Contest Hall. You need a cute pokemon such as Happiny to enter. Every 200 steps, check your pokemon and you will find it is holding an accessory.
Another way to get accessories is to go to the woman who massages your pokemon in Veilstone City. She finds them after she massages them.
