No. The point of minecraft being paid for is the services that are provided for multiplayer. You cannot enter a vanilla multiplayer server (When I say 'vanilla', I mean it can't be a cracked server. You can't enter standard Bukkit servers either) without an official Mojang/Minecraft account that has been paid for.

Also, I have noticed that many of the developers of the game have been asked these questions on Facebook and Twitter, and their general reply was that they don't really care, but encourage you to buy it as it supports them.

At the time of writing, they have sold almost 13 million PC versions. As much as using a cracked launcher wouldn't influence this number in the slightest, if everyone using a cracked version of the game bought a legitimate account, then the number could rise from 13 million to something as high as 20 million (just a guess - there is no exact number of cracked players).

TL;DR

I strongly reccomend buying the game, as you are not supporting the company by playing a crack. It is not illegal to play a crack, and it isn't illegal to make a crack (Although, both of these actions are frowned upon and I do not reccomend either).

Right, that should sum it up!
