You can log into the Minecraft launcher on one PC with as many accounts as you want. You can also install as many as you want on each computer you have. However your saved games are not syced between PCs. On the same PC though, each launcher will still be able to access the same saved worlds.

Um... did you try logging in? You still need to log in.
Check if your minecraft.jar is still there. If it isn't, open the minecraft launcher, press 'Options' and click 'Force Update'. Now you're ready to play.
well minecraft 1.3 comes out some time today and 1.4 probably wont come out for several months and to update you just log in to the launcher and download the update.

Ok this is Minecraft not maths, In alpha you cant actually gat unlimited torches, and... you are still using alpha?!?! why don't you update to Minecraft beta 1.9pre, it's awsome with snowmans, pistons, wolves, and NPC and NPC villages, just click the force update button on the launcher.
