Go into C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin
and then find and click the TS3.exe and your game will run
for easier access, I recomend that you create a short cut on the desktop for TS3.exe
in only seconds your game will open

The game will still recognize anything you've installed via the launcher. For convenience, you can just create a shortcut to that exe file on your desktop and start the Sims that way. You'll still need to start the launcher to install sims3.packs but you could completely avoid the launcher if you learn how to make s3packs into packages and how to install them.
