You can run TS3 without the launcher. Simply go to C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin (default install path) and run TS3.exe. The game will still recognize anything you've installed via the launcher.
For convenience, you can just create a shortcut to that exe file on your desktop and start the Sims that way. You'll still need to start the launcher to install sims3.packs but you could completely avoid the launcher if you learn how to make s3packs into packages and how to install them.
Go into C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin and then find and click the TS3.exe and your game will run for easier access, I recomend that you create a short cut on the desktop for TS3.exe in only seconds your game will open
If you have Windows 7, you right click on the Sims 3 icon on the desktop and press 'Open file location'. Then press TS3 or TS3.exe (it will come up as either of those).
You must have the sims launch open, and the hair/whatever, must be installed on to the sims. Also, you must be logged on in your launcher!
(how to update your sims 3) go to your game launcher and select game updates if it says that there is no updates just wait and then when you go to game launcher and it says that there is an update avalable then click yes then your game willl be up to date. hope that helps
You can only delete custom content. Open The Sims 3 Launcher, find and select the item(s) you want to remove. Then, click on 'Uninstall'.

I've just got the game and I installed it. When I try to run it by launcher, my computer restarts. But when I run it by crack it works perfectly. Can anyone help me, I really wanna know what's the problem?
You should see a bag. Click it and it should bring you to the store. Or you can click on the 3 dots and select open launcher and from there go to the store.
If you open your Sims 3 launcher, it should be in the Downloads section. From there, you can install it. If it does not show up in Downloads, you can always download it from the Store again without having to repay the SimPoints that it cost.

You can still play the game if you go to EA > The Sims 3 > Game > Bin > TSR.exe but I'm not sure how to actually fix the launcher. Sorry.
