No its defence is low but its evolution raichu is pretty good to evolve your pikachu just use a thuderstone on it anyway don't let me get started on pikachu pre evolution pichu that Pokemon cant use an electric offensive attack that Pokemon sucks in every way possible but its not as bad as happiny pikachu's defense is not only low but the attack sucks pichu's attack is even weaker but to me i don't think pikachu is the best electric type Pokemon i think ampharos is a good Pokemon too(happiny sucks)
