It actually depends on what you mean by ring like a dirty ring cause if that's it you just take a towel and brush the ring off if that doesn't work you need a new game disc
The xbox 360 will put a ring around your disk if you move the xbox modem or it falls over while the xbox is on and the game is in it. Most of the time that means the game is not playable anymore.
You can't as the game has been scratched down into a few layers of the disk making the game unusable or only temporarily usable in some cases.
The Xbox 360 will over heat at around 89 degrees Fahrenheit then it will get the red ring of death and u will be out of luck

It has a ring, but if theres more than 1 ring that's bad your disc is scratched, make sure your xbox 360 is not tilted while playing.

you have to get the xbox 360 game buffed so it can be fixed.
not really but i would not use the kid toothpastes. Colgate or similar would be fine. Also the ring (halo ring) means the disk is broken so you cant use it you have to be careful dont move your xbox with a disk inside
An overheated HardDrive touching the cooling plate causing the Disk to overheat. A lot like the red ring of death on a Xbox.
It deals with the entire xbox 360 system
Yes the ring around where it shows how many controllers you have will turn red.
