First, you need to beat the Elite Four and obtain the National Pokedex. Then you need to get an Eevee. To get one, do one of the following things: 1. Go to Bebe's (the inventor of Sinnoh's PC System) house in Hearthome City and talk to her. She will give you an Eevee.

2. Go to Mr. Backlot's mansion on Route 212 and talk to him. Occasionally, he will tell you he's seen wild Eevee in his Trophy Garden. When he tells you he's seen Eevee, go into his Trophy Garden and catch one.

3. Transfer an Eevee from Pokemon FireRed or LeafGreen via Pal Park. After you get an Eevee, make friends with it. You can make it friendly by doing the following things: 1. Attach the Soothe Bell item to it.

2. Go to Veilstone City and ask the massage lady there to massage your Eevee once a day.

3. Go to the Resort Area and go to the second floor of the Ribbon Building. The people there will also massage your Eevee once a day.

4. Heal it often at Pokemon Centers, and try not to let it faint in battle.

5. Battle with it, level it up often, and make it trust you. Use your Friendship Checker Poketch App to monitor Eevee's feelings. When two big hearts appear above it when you touch it, it's a sign that it loves you. Level it up at night (it has to be at night, because if you level it up in the daytime, you'll get an Espeon) and you should get an Umbreon. Nighttime in Pokemon Diamond version is from 7pm to 4am. Note: Avoid training your Eevee in Eterna Forest or Route 217, as these are special places that make Eevee evolve upon leveling up. EDIT: in Eterna Forest and Route 217, there is a special rock that when you level EEVEE next to it, it evolves into LEAFEON(Eterna Forest) or Glaceon(Route 217)

There's no fun in playing it safe. Why not try something a little unhinged?
