Whatever starter you pick you are going to need to trade with someone who has a different starter than you. After that, you need to make sure you have beat the main storyline. Then go to the giant chasm and catch a ditto. Then, leave the starter from the trade at the day care with your ditto. Run around, and stay in striaton city. Then go on route 3 and back to striaton city. Do this a couple more times. Then the day care man will call you. Talk to him and he will give you an egg if you have an empty spot in your team. The egg will be an oshawott if you have samurott or dewott. same for the other two. hatch it, and congratulations! The quickest way to level it up it to give your baby starter the lucky egg and run into an audino in the giant chasm forest. Lead with your starter and switch Pokemon on the first turn. Your starter will probably be at level 25 by now. I got my level 1 oshawott to a level 40 samurott by doing that.
