How can you get a Light Ball on Pokemon platinum?

To get a light ball follow these steps;

1.Catch a Electabuzz with static on the route next to Sunyshore

2.Catch a Yanma with Compoundeyes. Or I recommend catching a Nincada because they always have Compoundeyes and you don't have to keep praying the Yanma has Compoundeyes

4.Catch a Pokemon with Frisk, I recommend a high level Bannete

5.Now go to a route with high level Pokemon and let your Compoundeyes Pokemon die

6.Have your Pokemon in this order; Dead compoundeyes Pokemon first, Electabuzz second, and Bannete third.

7.Now go to the Pokemon Mansion and keep searching until you find Pikachus, when you find the Pikachu switch in to your Banette too see what its holding.

Now your probably asking why should/did I get Electabuzz and Yanma/Nincade now?

Because If your Pokemon has Compoundeyes and its at the front of your team it raises the chance of a wild Pokemon holding an item. If the first Pokemon you have that's alive has Static, you have a higher chance of seeing an Electric type Pokemon. It should take you around 20 Pikachus or under, Ive heard somewhere that only female Pikachus have them.

Tip--

I recommend having a Pokemon with False swipe and something like Yawn/Hypnosis/Thunder wave etc
