Number 92 Heart-eartH Dragon states that your opponent takes any battle damage that would be dealt to you. So if you attacked their 3000ATK monster, Heart-eartH will not be destroyed, you will take no battle damage, the 3000 that you would take, is dealt to the opponent instead.

Does damage calculation occur with Zubaba Knight in Yu-Gi-Oh?

When two monsters battle, both monsters must remain on the field, for Damage Calculation to occur. If a monster leaves the field before Damage Calculation, then that particular battle step ends.If Zubaba Knight attacks a face-up defense positon monster, that monster is destroyed at the beginning of the Damage Step. The battle step ends there, no damage calculation occurs, no damage is dealt to either player, and Zubaba Knight may not declare another attack (unless if a card effect permits).

How many life points do monster cards get in yugioh?

Monster cards do not have life points and there is no concept of 'damaging' a monster card except for battle. In battle a monster either dies or it does not, there is no accumulating damage such as in Magic the Gathering. A monster can fight off an infinite amount of monsters that are weaker than it, but is destroyed if it battles with one of equal or greater power.

What does piercing damage mean in Yu-Gi-Oh?

The ability to inflict 'Piercing Damage' is to be able to deal damage to an opponent when it battles a weaker defence position monster. The amount of damage dealt is the difference between the ATK of the attacker and the DEF of the defender. So for example, if you have a monster which can deal Piercing Damage, and has 1800ATK, and it attacks a defence position monster with 1000DEF, you will deal 800 battle damage to the opposing player (1800-1000).

When attacking a higher attack monster with an elemental hero with skyscraper does the attacking elemental hero monster get destroyed too since it gains the attack during the damage step only?

The Damage Step is where it is determined which monster is destroyed by battle, and which player takes damage. So while Skyscraper's bonus 'only' counts during the Damage Step, that's exactly the right place to ensure the attacking E-HERO destroys a stronger attack target and survives battle. There's no concept of 'monster damage' in Yu-Gi-Oh, there is no penalty or consequence for losing the boost after Damage Calculation against a monster that was originally stronger. The damage step is the only step in which their calculated ATKs and DEFs are relevant, and during that, the E-HERO's ATK was higher.

Does the monster get destroyed if the battle damage go to zero?

Yes it will still be destroyed even the battle damage is zero because the effect only involves the damage and not NEGATING the atk.For example your opponents Blue Eyes White Dragon attacks your Darkmagician. During damage calculation you can activate Kuriboh or Waboku. The damage will be zero but Darkmagician would still be destroyed.

How do you calculate the damage done to your opponent when your monster destroys your opponent's by battle in Yu-Gi-Oh?

If your opponent's monster is in attack mode, then the opponent will take battle damage if you destroy the monster with a stronger one. The amount of battle damage they take is equal to the ATK of your attacker, minus the ATK of the defending monster. If your attacker has 2400ATK for example and the defender's is 1800, then the opponent will take (2400-1800) 600 battle damage. If your opponent's monster is in defence position, then the opponent will not take any battle damage at all, regardless of how much higher your monster's ATK is than the defender's DEF.

How does Full-Force Strike work if no players take Battle Damage yet damage calculation is involved in Yu-Gi-Oh?

The Damage Step still proceeds as normal, including Damage Calculation. Full-Force Strike simply reduces Battle Damage to players to zero, and the attacking monster can't be destroyed by battle.Full-Force Strike's intended use is to allow a weaker monster to safely destroy a stronger one without being destroyed itself. The time when the defending monster is destroyed is the part of the battle step 'after damage calculation'.

If a monster attacks man eater bug does the ma-eater bug survive the battle if it targets the attacking monster?

Yes, it does. When a Flip Effect monster is attacked, in the Damage Step you flip it, then calculate Damage, and then apply the flip effect before sending destroyed by battle monsters to the graveyard. So even if Man-Eater Bug was considered destroyed by battle, it will still be able to destroy one monster on the field.

If your monster is in ATK mode and someone attacks you what happens?

You enter the Damage Step and Damage Calculation as normal. You compare the ATKs of the two monsters, which will determine if one or both are destroyed by battle, and if the controlling players take any battle damage too.
