Why does Jacob love Bella?

Jacob kissed Bella because Bella asked him to kiss her because Jacob was trying to kill himself so Bella tried to stop him but he wouldn't and Bella had no choice the only thing that makes him alive is that Jacob kissing Bella.

there is no specific reason noted in the book to explain why Jacob loves Bella. one's opinion is that they're best friends, and she is really one of the only (pretty) girls that strongly connects with him. Also, her having a vampire boyfriend cause jealousy, which makes her even more attracted to her in some ways. Also, Bella flirts with him too with edward's absence in new moon, which i think is when Jacob realized he loves Bella.

It depends on which part of Eclipse you are talking about. If you are talking about at the begining, it is because Jacob wants to change Bella's mind and make her realize that she's in love with him. All it does is make her angry.

Close to the end, right before the fight with the newborns, Bella asks him to kiss her so he won't let himself be killed in the fight. If you don't understand, read the books. Inorder. That's important to do or it will make no sense.

So Jacob doesnt commit suicide cause Bella's marrying and going to become a vampire. I didnt understand at first but my friend said that Jacob heard Bella and edward in the tent discussing wedding vows or somthing.
