Using larger wire (lower AWG) will limit the loss in the cables. If you need to run a long length, use the biggest wire that will fit.

Do you need a new mixer if only one sound plays like your speaker is blown out?

If your speaker sounds blown out, it is probably your speaker. The mixer or input device you are using doesn't care what sound it is producing, as long as the level of the music is not too high.

How can you get the sound on your internet back?

I would click on the sound icon at the bottom right corner, and than click on mixer if you are not on it yet. While on the mixer windows will show you which programs are using the sound device. If the browser you are currently using is there make sure the bar is set high in the level. If the mixer shows that the internet is using the sound device and its not on mute, check the material you are browsing like youtube videos, make sure they are not in mute and are not at a real low volume level.if none of that seems to work check for speaker cables to be plugged in perfectly.

What is the difference between a live mixer and a recording mixer?

A live mixer and a recording mixer are practically the same under small budgets, a live mixers role is to take all the mics and mix them down to a speaker mix with effect sends etc, a recording mixer has to have as many outputs as inputs, for example you want to be able to chance a channel and record it seperatly so you can mix them down. there is not much difference really.

What equipment should you use like a PA system and mixer and will you need for a gigging rock band?

PA system, microphones, cables and stands for the vocalist(s). Amplifiers and cables for all electric instruments. FLIGHT CASES for all instruments, or at LEAST the sturdiest cases you can get. Some means of recording shows for later review and critique. A mixer (or mixer amp/powered mixer) may not be necessary, but can be helpful; have someone who's not onstage (i.e. an engineer or board op) with the band to work it. A van or truck to carry equipment to shows is a plus. Brand names and vintage of equipment may vary widely. Do sound checks on-site if at ALL possible, before a show.

Can you hook lead guitar directly to the mixer and then back to its own guitar box?

Yes, but the 'lead guitar' sound (with distortion and other effects) won't be heard at the mixer. You will do better to connect a line out (if it has one) or mic the guitar amplifier to get the tone of the speaker plus any distortion or overdrive you need.
