Is New Moon a good title for the book?

This is wholly dependent on your opinion, some fans of Twilight like myself will say, Yes, New Moon is a good book. Whereas others will disagree. There is no one, unbiased and impartial answer to this question without delving into personal opinions.

Early in the book, New Moon, when Edward Cullen leaves Bella Swan she finds herself lost in the forest. One of the observations she makes is , "Not tonight. Tonight the sky was utterly black. Perhaps there was no moon tonight -- a lunar eclipse, a new moon."

I think New Moon is a good name for the second book in the Twilight series. Tonight the sky was utterly black. Perhaps there was no moon tonight - a lunar eclipse, a new moon - (New Moon, chapter 3) I think the title, like the line above, demonstrates metaphorically the place Bella is in her life. Her life had just taken a huge turn, and the 'new moon' conveys this subtly. Don't know who's asking, or why, but I hope that helps
