I think New Moon is a good name for the second book in the Twilight series. Tonight the sky was utterly black. Perhaps there was no moon tonight - a lunar eclipse, a new moon - (New Moon, chapter 3) I think the title, like the line above, demonstrates metaphorically the place Bella is in her life. Her life had just taken a huge turn, and the 'new moon' conveys this subtly. Don't know who's asking, or why, but I hope that helps
