I'm pretty sure his dad isn't a pushover.

Example: Dragon took down Chaser (the smoke/devil fruit marine) in 3seconds flat.

There is no actually confirmation on this question because they have never truly fought each other. They started to fight at Whiskey Peak, but it was soon broken up by Nami. The two seem to be evenly matched, and for now, it seems like it's left for the fan's opinion. Yes, Luffy does have a much higher bounty than Zoro, but that's also because Luffy has always wanted to take down the big guns, like Lucci and Crocodile. He's drawn more attention to himself. In my opinion, Zoro is stronger. He is stronger mentally, less swayed by things, and in pure muscle, Zoro takes the cake. Ever since he was young, he's been training to become the world's greatest swordsman. He can lift enormous objects at will. Luffy has strength, but he has to be fighting completely seriously for that to come out.

In second gear luffy would beat Zoro due to the fact that Zoro cannot max speed with luffy, and yet the only1 who can that fought luffy and does NOT use devil fruit power would b Lucci. And once Zoro's Killing intent goes to high, Luffy would b able to read his moves due to his ability of Haki. Stated by the Medusa sisters, Luffy has such weak killing intent but they could still read his moves since they are haki masters. And in vice versa Luffy has weak control over haki, but Zoro's killing intent would go to high if he uses Asura. Besides Zoro would lose against Croc, Lucci, and could barely stand against Arlong lol.

luffy is like 5 times stronger then zolo not only does he have gear 2 and 3 but he can use all 3 types of haki which is the most powerful weapon in one piece zolo satands no chance to luffy

Luffy is definitely the stronger character because he fights villans way stronger then the villans zoro fights for example lucci and kaku lucci was shown to be nearly twice as strong as kaku also luffy was trained by rayleigh and zoro trained by mihawk and rayleigh is way stronger then miahwk being able to fight equally to kizaru and also luffy has the gears and has mastered all 3 types of haki which are the most powerful weapons anyone can have so luffy is stronger the zoro whos hasn't even awakened his haki

Wow... i love all ur answers. I just wanted 2 c the majority yes i was right when i told people this. Also thanks for pointing out that Medusa's sisters said that, cause i no i heard, the higher the killing intent the more one can read their moves with haki. NOW I NO who said it =DDD. If you think about it Luffy's main power is evading sharp objects (fight with enel and the billions of Marines =D).

There's no proven link between them at the moment. When Ace was introduced, Luffy said that he was his elder brother. However, while we know Luffy's father is Monkey D. Dragon, Ace's true parents were Gol D. Roger and Portgas D. Rouge.

Gol D. Roger gave Ace to Vice-Admiral Garp to keep him safe, since everybody would try to kill him due to being Roger's son. So when they were still young, Ace and Luffy lived together like real brothers, and did consider each other as such though they did know the truth.

Luffy's mother is still currently unknown. Since Portgas D. Rouge died three years before Luffy was born, it's impossible for it to be her and therefore, indeed, Luffy and Ace can't be true brothers. But it's still open at the moment until Luffy's mother is revealed. If she happened to be related to Gol D. Roger, then it would establish a blood link between Luffy and Ace, they could be cousins at the least.

Luffy defeated lots of enemies that their society decided as strong (ex. Crocodile, Rob Lucci etc). And if you based it on Luffy's inheritance he is strong with Vice Admiral Garp as his grandfather and Revolutionary Dragon as his father.

Ace is Gol D. Roger and Portgas D. Rouge's son, while Luffy is the son of Monkey D. Dragon and an unknown mother (it can't be Rouge because she died after Ace's birth, and Luffy is three years younger). Luffy, Ace, and a character named Sabo (who was roughly Ace's age) all exchanged sake, and considered themselves brothers from then on.

Goku is far stronger, you need a power level of around 10000 to destroy an average planet, like Earth, During his fight against frieza as a super sayain Goku's power level was aprox 140 million and Goku is more than a million times stronger than he was then, at a guess Luffy's power level would be aprox 80, as Goku could destroy a city in a single attack with a power level of 330.
