sometimes hinata can be quite strong as she knows the twin lion fists, 'juho soshiken'. but really she is quite weak but in front of naruto she turns strong. although she couldn't stand up to pain.

Well, she couldn't stand up to Pain because she was fighting by herself. Naruto had a lot of assistance. The main reason he won is becaue he had the knoweledge of Pain's abilities. If anyone had the info he had(except Ino), they could've beat Pain. He also had the help of Ma and Pa Toad, Katsuyu, the Kyuubi, Minato, and Hinata herself. If Hinata never jumped in, the Kyuubi would never have activated and Naruto would still be pinned to the ground. In addition, even if he managed to get unpinned on his own, he's never survive that black hole without the Kyuubi. The main thing that makes Hinata "weak" is not her fighting strength, but her mental strength. Her self esteem is very low. A lot of people try to remind her how strong she is, but she doesn't really believe it.
