How does katniss destroy the food supply in the camp set up by the career tributes?

she knew that the careers had it rigged so if someone would try to steal it, a bomb would go off. so from a distance, she shot one of her arrows at a sack of apples, and the apple bag tore and one of the apples fell out, triggering the bomb, which destroyed all the food and supplies.

∙ 12y agoI assume you're referring to the Career's supplies at the Cornucopia in the first book.
Katniss uses her Archery skills to shoot bows at a suspended sack of apples. By doing this, she opens a hole in the bag and the apples tumble to the ground, triggering the land mines that had been placed there for the start of the games.

∙ 12y agokatniss saw fox face grab some apples out of a hanging burlap bag, and other food from the careers base. after realizing that the base was mined, she gave herself three arrows to finish the job, and shot one into the bag, creating a tear, another to widen the tear, and one to rip the burlap of the hanging sack back, spilling all of the apples and setting off the pressure-activated mines. this blew up the food.

∙ 10y agoThe Careers set up a booby trap around their food pyramids using bombs. So Katniss used her arrows to cut open an apple bag and just the apple landing on top of the area where the bombs were buried was just enough pressure to set them off
