Rue dies very tragically in The Hunger Games. She is killed by the boy tribute from District One, Marvel. He traps her in a net and spears her through her stomach. Katniss kills the boy immediately in revenge. She thens sings to Rue until she dies and then weaves her hair with flowers. If you want to know the exact page numbers, it is page 232-237. It is very tragic and sad.

∙ 10y agoRue dies in the arena between the second and third fires Katniss and Rue set up. She died next to Marvel, who Katniss killed, and Katniss surrounded her in flowers to show up the Capitol, and show them that they shouldn't have killed that little girl.
