Unfortunetley yes, in the battle against Chiyo (his grandma) and Sakura Chiyo finds out Sasori's weakness (A cylinder with his heart in it) and stabs it killing him. However it is found out after the battle that Chiyo reveals that Sasori knew she was going to stab him there indicating that he may have commited suicide like Deidara.
EDIT : This is right but he gets revived by Kabuto using the Re-animation jutsu like Orochimaru used to bring back the 1st and 2nd Hokage, so he's alive but only if Kabuto summons him.

Chiyo (Sasori's grandmother) used puppets made by Sasori when he was younger that looked like his parents to kill him. They stabbed the only thing that was human of his. His 'heart'.
They were his parents.Sasori is now used as Kankuro's new puppet :D
I think he does because my friends say he is brought back to life and the other dead akasuki memebers.....like Itachi and Deidara. Its in the manga.....at least from what I've heard. People who comment on some videos that I have read also talk about him being brought back.
