Unfortunetley yes, in the battle against Chiyo (his grandma) and Sakura Chiyo finds out Sasori's weakness (A cylinder with his heart in it) and stabs it killing him. However it is found out after the battle that Chiyo reveals that Sasori knew she was going to stab him there indicating that he may have commited suicide like Deidara. EDIT : This is right but he gets revived by Kabuto using the Re-animation jutsu like Orochimaru used to bring back the 1st and 2nd Hokage, so he's alive but only if Kabuto summons him.
