If it was E85,,,I don;t think it would run and the fuel system would need to be drained. If it were E10 or E15,,,it would run fine.
Another answer:
Run the fuel, and change your engine oil immediately after it's burned. The real risk of using E85 in a non-Flex Fuel vehicle is water contamination resulting in separation of the water/ethanol mix and gasoline. The difference with an FFV engine is that it uses soft nitride coatings on the internal components to protect against corrosion in the event of the introduction of water-contaminated E85 fuel.
If you have the FLEXIBLE FUEL VERSION of the 3.0 L V6 engine you can use E 85 or regular unleaded ( 87 octane ) or any combination of the 2 fuels
Fords Flexible Fuel Vehicle ( FFV ) engines can run on regular unleaded gas or E 85 ethanol or any combination of the 2 fuels
it kills your gas mileage and hurts your engine more than some idiots might think. my advice? don't use ethanol or biodiesel or any of that crap. just go with regular unleaded ethanol-free gasoline
The 3.0 L flexible fuel version will run on regular unleaded gas - 87 octane , or E85 ethanol , or any combination of the 2 fuels
Certain Ford vehicles which have flex fuel engines can run on regular unleaded gas ( 87 octane ) or E-85 Ethanol or any combination of the 2 fuels
The brand of gasoline with the lowest ethanol content can vary depending on the region and availability. However, in general, premium gasoline or high-octane fuels tend to have lower levels of ethanol compared to regular or unleaded gasoline. It is always recommended to check the ethanol content specified on the pump or consult the fuel provider for accurate information.
If you have the FLEXIBLE FUEL VERSION of the 3.0 L - V6 engine you can use E85 or regular unleaded 87 octane gasoline or any combination of the 2 fuels
( IF YOU HAVE THE 3.0 L FFV ENGINE ) ! - you can use E85 ethanol / regular unleaded 87 octane / or any combination of the 2 fuels i have a 99 ford ranger 3.0 five speed manual ffv engine and it will not run e85 at all it runs it to lean.
The Ford Ranger , 3.0 liter Flex Fuel Vehicle engine is designed to use " regular " unleaded gasoline , 87 octane , or E85 ethanol , or any combination of the 2 fuels
gasoline and diesel. WITHOUT ETHANOL
Ethanol, methanol and proponal are all alcohol based fuels. These fuels are good for the environment because they are slower burning fuels, which make it easier to gain energy from. These fuels also do not need fossil fuels to be created, they can be derived from water and carbon dioxide.
