Well, it depends. The warm nose is just a result of the dog not licking his/her nose. Nobody really "nose" why dogs and cats lick their noses. All people know is that that is a sign of a healthy pet. Sometimes dogs just don't lick their noses. So, I would probably track your dog's health over the next few days. If it stays dry, take him/her to the vet.

You could have swollen passages if you smell burned food in your nose all of the time. You could also be smelling actual burned food.
