I don't recommend you losing that much weight in a month. This can do damage to your body. Talk to you doctor to help you get on a diet that is right for you. I think that doctors recommend that you lose only 10 or 15 pounds a month. But don't quote me on this call your doctor.

Significant weight loss such as this should be handled under a doctor's supervision. 50lbs over 3 months can, if mishandled, cause various medical problems that a professional should be addressing.

That said, the doctor would most likely start by evaluating the goal to see if it's both reasonable and acheivable. Then, a program of reduced calorie intake with a well-balanced diet coupled with excercise and physical training would be the likely course. Drug assisted dieting may also be recommended, although the long term effectiveness of drug-assisted dieting is in question.

Finally, I would add that 50lbs over 3 months is a lot of weight over a short time. Unless there is some pressing medical reason to attempt this fast a weight loss, perhaps a slower, safer programme would be advisable.

I recomend six months, that's what I am doing. You can see further recomendations on the question that asks how can a 13 year old who weighs 160 pounds lose 50 pounds in 5 months. I am the one who says the diets above are not healthy etc.

It's possible, not plausible. If you want to keepthe weight off, then there's just about no way to do it. But extreme dieting, like those seen on TV, can enable this to happen as a temporary measure.

your going to have to burn 8333 calories a day and if you eat 2000 calories a day your gonna have to burn 10333 calories.. you burn calories depending on your weight
