Only Remington knows.
Need a model, serial numbers are not unique accross rifles. RW is Remington Works
I have seen these rifles advertised for around $200. They were only made for about 3 years back in the 1930s. Very nice little rifles. I shot one, and was amazed at how accurate it was given the rifles age and wear.
yes, during WWI, Remington made thousands of Moisin Nagant rifles for Marist Russia. Few were delivered before Russia collapsed in revolution.
Winchester made some that did. Remington also, IIRC.
They never made anything called a Pioneer...
Remington made 646,000 US model of 1917 rifles for the goverment during world war I. Winchester and eddystone also produced rifles for the U S goverment during that time, with eddystone being the largest producer.
The last year of production for the Remington model nylon model 66 was 1990.These rifles were made from 1959-1990 with a total production of 1,050,336.
Well I am not sure about all the models but my Remington Airmaster 77 says it was manufactured by Crosman. ( Crosman is in New York) It doesn't say anything about China anywhere on the box or the rifle. Crosman owns Benjamin, Sheridan and is licensed to manufacture Remington air rifles.
With the serial number that you have provided, your Remington model of 1917 wa made in December of 1918.Your rifle was made at the end of production of these rifles for World War I.The last Remington serial number was 646,000.
