The mossberg model 151K was made from 1950-1951.
The Model 151k was produced 1950-51. The average value for the model in good condition is approximately $100-$150. It is one of my favorite guns to shoot. Very accurate.

The Mossberg Model 151-K was made for two years only: 1950 and 1951.
It was only made for two years- 1950 and 1951.
this is not exactly an antique or anything, mossberg made tons of these inexpensive shotguns-retail value:$75-$90
$269 new retail price.
There are 2 different Mossberg 151's- the 151M (wood goes all the way to the muzzle) and the 151K (wood does not go all the way to the muzzle, but stops with a rounded bump- called a Schnabel) There is collector interest in both, the 151M is usually worth a few dollars more. Value will depend on condition and completeness (rear sights and Mossberg sling swivels are pricey to replace if missing) Value may range from $125 to $250 for a minty specimen.
Since these rifles were made prior to the 1968 Gun Control Act, they do not have serial numbers, so cannot be dated to a single year. However, the Mossberg 151K was only made for 2 years- 1950 and 1951. It will be one or the other.
There is a 151M, with a long 2 piece stock, made from 1946-1958, and a 151K, one piece stock with a rounded forearm (called a schnabel) made 1950-51. Do not have a listing for a 151 with no letter. Depending on condition, value is between $100-$225. They are great shooting rifles, and there IS collector interest in those models. Many are missing the rear peep sight, which is expensive to replace. Run a Google search for "epix mossberg models" for some good info and photos of the various Mossberg 22s.
