It simply means that there's variation between one cycle and the next.
The average menstrual cycle is 28 days but every woman is different, you determine your average menstrual cycle length by figuring out the average of your last six cycles - as long as your periods fall within a week of that average cycle length they are considered normal. It's not unusual for the odd period to show up a lot earlier than expected, even less unusual for periods to be late (especially if you've been sick, travelling, or on a diet). As long as you are still menstruating roughly every month it's all totally normal.
Your preggo.
Your ovulation is from one side each month, and each ovary runs on its own cycle. Usually they match and you get your period at the same time each month. This means that if your period is every 30 days, your right ovary drops an ovule (egg) this month. 30 days from now, your left ovary will drop one. 90 days from now your right ovary will activate again and drop an ovule. And so forth. However, if one month you ovulate early, meaning you get your period early a few days, the next month you will ovulate on your original schedule on the opposite side, which means that period will feel late to you, when in reality it is running on its own proper schedule.
Getting my tubes tied did not make my period any heavier. It did make it a bit irregular. I used to have it same day every month like clockwork. Now it comes 2 days to a week early every month.
Just irregular or hormone off balance
Well it depense every woman will get an irregular period every now and then. Not all women get there periods every lets say 28 days. There are going to be times that your period comes early and sometimes that you get it late. It's nothing to worry about unless you skip an entire month then I would be worried.
=Unless you just got your period your circulation should be the same every month! If you are doing drugs or taking any kind of strong medication your cycle may become irregular. But if your period came early, and you are not putting any kind of strong drugs in your body then you should wait an see when it comes next month, then if it comes early again see a doctor!=
if you lost your virginity in that same month it jump starts it somewhat.
I got my period a week early last month and am now waiting on my period. It's three days late which I know isn't much of a big deal but I'm interested in knowing if having an early period the month before effects the period the next month? I'm not having any symptoms which is very unusual for me.. But, I'm also only 17. Should I have concerns? I've been under alot of stress lately aswell so I thought that may be the cause of it being irregular (because normally its always 30 days right on)
why did my period come 4 days early?
It's not uncommon for a period to skip a few days or even a month. If it comes to 2 months though, see a doctor. If you think you might be pregnant, take a test.
Sometimes people have irregular period which can come either early or late.
It is probably fine. Your period may vary because your lifestyle and diet varies from month to month. Be happy that it finished early this month! Unless you experience extreme variation, do not be worried.
